My first internet marketing role was with overseas property experts, Atlas International as a digital marketing executive. Our department was tasked with researching new ways to market the company's services and delivering approved projects, on-time and within budget.

As a department, we implemented a full website revamp, search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per click (PPC) marketing, eMail newsletters, banner advertising and many other initiatives aimed at driving sales leads from the website.

I then moved from Atlas International to undertake a more focussed role with European PPC agency, Relevant Traffic Ltd. This was where I first delved into the world of PPC as an account manager.

I was tasked with building, maintaining and optimising PPC campaigns along with client management. During my time at Relevant Traffic I worked across a wide range of industries for varying sizes of clients, from globally recognised brands such as Kaspersky, to U.K household names such as B&Q along with universities, powertool retailers, financial advisors and home appliance retailers.

My time at Relevant Traffic was well spent and it not only provided me with a specialisation (PPC) but also increased my hunger to carve out a career in internet marketing.

After Relevant Traffic I took on a 12-month contract with global publishing house Croner (part of Wolters Kluwer). Within this role I was solely responsible for the day to day management of all PPC activity as well as creation of new targeted campaigns. I also helped to devise and implement a project focused on improving SEO, with a view to increasing the number and quality of leads coming from the website.

Once my contract with Croner had finished I was offered a role with one of the U.K's top B2B Marketing companies, Base One Ltd. During my time at Base One I was lucky to be part of a brilliant team and greatly sharpened my skills in PPC and SEO, and was also introduced to the emerging discipline of social media marketing.

At Base One I was privileged to be able to work with amazing clients including, Vodafone, British Gas, Saab, Dun & Bradstreet, Silverpop and Netgear amongst others.

So the latest entry in my tale (and hopefully the reason you are reading this) is that I have left Base One and begun offering my services on a freelance basis. In this capacity, I am offering PPC, SEO, Social Media and Web Design and Development services to businesses of all shapes and sizes.
